- I grew up on the central coast of California and thought I'd never leave. Then the pandemic hit and things pretty much changed forever. Everyone from LA and SF moved to the small area I'd spent my whole life in and all of a sudden everything became unaffordable. I wanted to get a house, start a family, and enjoy life. That was simply no longer possible in California, so I went on the hunt to find some place I could actually make that happen.
- Now here we are in Western Pennsylvania. Happily married with a wife and wonderful son and absolutely no regrets. It's incredible here with tons of nature to explore and an amazing community of people that host events all year round. My only complaint is it's a little on hot side for me. I can handle the snow and freezing temperatures, but I become useless in anything over 80*F.
- Western Pennsylvania is, in my opinion, the best place in the United States for young people to still have a chance of starting a family. Houses are cheap, food is cheap(er than the rest of the US), and people are friendly.
